This project was designed as a fun badge to take to Midwest RepRap Festival in 2023. It uses a commercial HUB75 display panel in combination with a custom rendering pipeline in order to pull off complex effects on an RP2040 microcontroller. I designed it with a modular effect system that could efficiently juggle rendering between both cores of the microcontroller in order to make the transitions between effects completely seamless. It also featured effects with both real time simulations and real time video playback using the heatshrink compression library. Using a USB power bank, it was efficient enough to keep going all weekend and it got lots of compliments!
